The Clown who was televisions model for many later television clowns(including the Simpson's"Crusty the clown" has died. I remember watching "Howdy Doody" in the 1980's. I also saw clips form the earlier version of the show from the 1950's. I feel that "Clarabell" was one of the pioneers of television, and I hope some of you remember him
